Brandl: "ExPat" Shark Contributes to Podcast in US

The latest podcast of the Chicago-based art critical team called "Bad At Sports" is now up and ready for streaming listening or downloading and listening. It is "Episode 64: Europe, Portland, Miami." It features reports galore! Including their newly-knighted European Bureau Chief, Mark Staff Brandl, who talks about lots of shows across the pond, or at least that direction, including exhibitions in Zurich and St.Gallen, Switzerland and the Big Apple, NYC.

Furthermore Duncan MacKenzie talks to the crew from Bridge about the impending Basel Miami Art Fair madness. Mike Benedetto 30-second-reviews Kurosawa's film Rashomon. Plus, Brian Andrews on art in Portland and a particularly delightful-sounding small art fair in a motel.

or download it for later MP3, etc., listening here:

Hi Mark, found my way here to reply to your comment "I like the Berlin piece". Just thought I better let you know that the writing about Berlin and the image are unrelated . the Polystyrene archway was actaually made in Nottingham, although I would not turn down the opportunity of making it in Berlin, or elsewhere for thaat matter. Glad you liked it, or maybe it was just the writing you liked.

Oh no, I liked the look of the piece in the image. Very much. Good luck. I'd like to see such an installation "live"!

Good, funny reviews in your segment, Mark. But you trashed a Swiss star and some influential institutions. Aren't you afraid?
