James Kalm: Martin Puryear Retrospective at MoMA

James Kalm is privileged to bring viewers a brief overview of this astounding sculptural retrospective of Martin Puryear. The works in this exhibition represent over thirty years of developments and trace the arc of Puryear's stylistic advances from their Post-Minimalist beginnings to his unique place in contemporary sculpture. With his sensitive use of natural woods and simple hand tools Puryear has reinstated the importance of humanistic content within Modernism. Featuring abbreviated remarks by Museum of Modern Art Director Glenn D. Lowery.
